One of the leading centers for research and development in the world has continued advances in amazing nano-electronic and digital technologies over the last couple of years – even as the pandemic was raging across the globe.

The term nanoelectronics refers to the use of nanotechnology in electronic components. These components are often only a few nanometers in size. Working with imec are electronic companies, semiconductor fabs, startups, and academia. The R&D center leverages infrastructure, local, and a global ecosystem across a multitude of industries, all working toward a connected, sustainable future.

This gallery highlights a sample of the accomplishments at imec in the medical, semiconductor, and quantum computing spaces.
