Quantum cyber security pioneer, Crypta Labs, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of a chief commercial officer
Mac Exon-Taylor is a seasoned executive and acknowledged veteran of the start-up world; he brings substantial sales, consulting and management expertise gained in complex technology-led solutions throughout Europe and AsiaPac.
Crypta Labs first developed its Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG) technology for the UK Ministry of Defence and received funding from the UK Space Agency through the SPRINT programme to design a QRNG suitable for Low Earth Orbit environmental conditions.
Its technology stack is currently being deployed in the Czech Republic, where Crypta Labs is deploying its Quantum Hardware Security Module for PKI and PKCS11 infrastructure to meet the increased security requirements demanded of the ETSI 1.3.1 standards for EU C-Roads smart roads infrastructure.
Crypta Labs CEO, Joe Luong, said: “It is a pleasure to have Mac join our management team at this critical time where our technology is being commercialised in the US, UK and Europe. His commercial and entrepreneurial background will add great depth to our existing technical team.”
Exon-Taylor said: “I’m delighted to have joined Crypta Labs on its mission to democratise quantum random number technology. It’s a fascinating area that will become a vital component in future-proofing cyber security in the face of the impending quantum computing threat.
“I’m excited to lead the commercial strategy and activities of the company during the next phase of its growth journey, and looking forward to working with such an innovative team.”
